Solar eclipse as seen from the southern coast of Turkey on March 29, 2006. Ian's contraption consisted of a motorized EQ-1 equatorial mount by Orion and $260 Panasonic GS-29 camcorder (with a 30x optical zoom!). Constant shutter speed of 1/60th second used with the exposure changed by varying the aperture.
