? August 10, 2011 at 3:18 pm: I seem to remember some years ago one funnymentalist group that was claiming the Hubble Space Telescope pictures of the Orion Nebula proved the existence of heaven because the Orion Nebula was in fact the entrance to heaven.

They even produced a video showing what lay "beyond" the Orion Nebula complete with heavenly mansions and the throne of god.

Goes to show you how silly some people are with their beliefs.

byHisgrace August 10, 2011 at 3:18 pm: I don’t need that kind of "proof" to believe in God. I already know He exists. His name is Jesus Christ. I know Him personally, and I didn’t even need to use a telescope! (not that any kind of man-made thing could make it possible to view God in Heaven!) I don’t need aid in knowing Him. Ease my mind about what? I believe what I believe. I don’t doubt God’s Word. Would it "ease your mind?"
Jesus said to Thomas (as He was showing him the wounds in His hands and feet and side, where He was healed); "You believe because you have seen. Blessed are those who BELIEVE WITHOUT SEEING." It’s called F.A.I.T.H. Either you have it, or you don’t. Blessed are the ones who do! Thanks for asking, though.
